Field mint is simple, slightly toothed leaves, but slightly smoother than Spearmint. Its taste is stronger, more bright mint taste than spearmint. Having a quite strong minty flavor with a slight bitterness, it is used as a flavoring in salads or cooked foods. Think “mint ice cream” flavor. The leaves of field mint are edible, raw or cooked.
